Broadband Technical Support

Before you call for technical support, please check our top five Broadband troubleshooting tips:

  1. If you are unable to connect to the internet, try switching your PC/Mac and your Broadband Modem/Router off and on again.
  2. Call the network status line on 0844 815 0809 Option 1. This will let you know if there are network problems affecting your service. If there are, it means that there's probably nothing wrong with your set-up.
  3. For best connection possible, connect your broadband Modem/Router directly to your master BT socket. This will eliminate any internal extension leads or long cables.
  4. Make sure that all equipment connected to your telephone line is connected through a filter. This includes phones, fax machines, alarm systems and any Sattelite, Digital, Freeview boxes.
  5. The members' area helpdesk at www.members.uwclub.net has information on configurating Routers/Modems, Outlook, Outlook Express, and on web space/FTP.
